This is my firt time using airbnb. For my first reservation, I am supposed to get a payout 48$ via bank transfert, but I recieved only 28$. For my second reservation, I supposed to get 24$ but I received only 4$!! How come? and Where is the rest of my payout?
Thank you.
Hi there,
I am new to airbnb.
First reservation and allready have a problem with the payout amount.
The room rate I put on the extranet was 53 € and airbnb increased that amount for 12 % and the price came to the guest in amount of 60 € ...and that is ok. BUT, how is it possible that my PAYOUT IS 42 €!!!!!!! What I will get at the end of the bank transfer - a dollar?
What I am disapointed most, You pay a lot and get no support.
There is no contact, just canned responses.
Who to address issue?
Now I put the prices much higher because I do not want to earn 70 % of what is guest paying!!!
To help cover the costs of processing guest payments, we charge hosts a 3% service fee every time a reservation is completed. The amount of this service fee is calculated from the reservation subtotal (before fees and taxes).
We also charge guests a guest service fee to cover the cost of running Airbnb.
Find the service feeTo see the amount of the service fee:
You'll also be able to view the service fee in the message thread with the guest underPayments
VAT charges on service feesDepending on the laws of the jurisdiction involved, VAT may be charged on top of the service fee. The service fee will include these VAT charges when applicable.
Note: Accommodation fees are charged to the guest directly by the host and may contain local taxes (including VAT).
I just checked and 53- 3% = 51.41 not 42.
The amount is over 20% charged to the host, big difference fom 3%.
@Sanja1, Hi Sanja, as you have 5 listings, then I suggest it would be worth your time to read through the FAQ's at the online Help Centre. Just keep reading and you will learn lots of things to help you understand what's happening with money in your region. For example Airbnb collect and pay taxes in some areas and not in others. so all these things affect your final earnings.
Putting the tariff up for your guests is your choice, but you are making it more expensive, so keep an eye on the final cost to your guests to ensure you offer a tariff that works for you and your guests.
Also on your site if you look at your "Inbox" and follow the link to see your guest email, you will see a whole big strip down the left hand side of the screen and it has a summary of information about your guest and details of their itinerary and bookingl including a breakdown of the financials telling you what you will be paid.
I am sorry about the italics, I have activated them when i bumped my keyboard, and I don't yet know how to make my letters straighten up.
here's a link to an article on the Airbnb Help Centre:

Sincere regards, Christine.
Dear Christine,
the price I`ve put on extranet for the particular date was 53 €.Aibnb take 3
% and that comes to 51.41 €.
My payout is 42 € ( 2 € is for platform maintenance).
What is the difference to 51.41 €?
I know this is easy for You to calculate, but not for me.
I have contacted some of my friends that work with You, but no one could
give me an answer.
They just told me that airbnb bild up the price up to 12 % and take 3 % from
me and that I pay VAT on 3 %.
There is also bank transfer cost I pay (cca.8 €)
I would like to agree on prices with other agencies, but I don`t know which
parameters to put in calculation.
I promise to read all the articles from the Airbnb helpcenter, but at this moment I don`t have much time to find what I need.
Please help me and appologize for beeing annoying
Thank You
Best regards
Sanja Ostoja

I am a new host and my payout method is still showing as pending verification. How long does this take? A small deposit was made into my bank account from airbnb to verify, but it's still showing as pending on here. It's been 5 days. I am getting worried as I have guests coming next week. There is no way to contact Airbnb???
Thanks for any help

How I can contact airbnb?? And when I will get the money. Thank you
And I am forget to tell the guest have been at my place for a week.
@Haris2, Airbnb put that small amount of money into your account as a test deposit. They won't risk sending the whole of your first payment into the wrong account, [just in case you or one of their staff typed the account numbers incorrectly]. So this is why they do a test deposit of a small amount first. Now that you have seen the money arrive in your account you need to follow the instructions they gave you about confirming that this little deposit arrived.
It's so long since i had to do this, that I have forgotten, but look though their emails they sent you, and follow the instructions....
Perhaps another new host can tell you more.
Regards, Christine.
