Pending verification is blocking my calander

Despite having declined a reseration a pending verification is blocking my calander and it is no longer listed for these dates. We would like to accept the initial booking request but the system won't let us. Unfortunately I have been unable to discover a way of contacting Airbnb over what seems to be a system error. Any suggestions?

It is not a system error unfortunately.  You will have to wait until this attempted reservation times out.
