Persistently asking to arrive early

Anybhad a guest repeatedly ask to arrive early, despite the dates be blocked on the calendar and explain 3 times that the space would not be ready until the reservation start date? He is pushing my buttons and it makes me concerned that he has a lack of listening and understanding of the process. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Hi @Vanessa385

Ring the dedicated superhost phone number you have, explain what's happening and ask them contact the guest to explain how it works or to cancel the booking as you are "uncomfortable with the guest"

Be careful to let ABB know why you are cancelling, as your "commitment rate" will go down with a unapproved cancellation and possibly affect your place in the search and hence affect future bookings.

@Sheila146 no-one is suggesting the hosts cancels the booking. Simply that she contacts Airbnb and says she is uncomfortable with the guest because of their behaviour.

@Vanessa385, your property belongs to you, not to the guest.

If you had changed your availability after the guest made a reservation, that would be one thing.

But the guest made a reservation knowing the earliest day/time they could arrive already. They can *ask* if you can accomodate something different, but they have no right to make demands.

Continue to stand firm!

How would they feel if *you* decided to change things and and said "hey, could you check out a day or two earlier than we agreed?"

I agree In the circumstances I would ask Airbnb to cancel the booking as the guest makes you feel uncomfortable as they won't respect your check in time.
