Please reconsider the fairly new "Top" column for discussions..it's getting overloaded.

So now we have "top" , "recent" , and "unanswered" as the three main gateways for checking on postings. Maybe Airbnb meant well, but I find these new classifications to be a disaster, particularly the "top" postings: ranked by thumbs up, the first two posts there are getting flooded with whatever anybody feels like contributing, quite often unrelated to anything else. That's where everybody goes, and nobody reads the thread anymore, how could one? it has spiraled down into  an endless rehash of bad guest stories and one drama after another. No continuity, just twitter like exchanges of nothing really important. Sorry - that is how I now feel.....

The old idea of being helpful, or looking for helpful advice is out the window.

Sometimes change is good, but sometimes it isn't. I for one am losing my desire to come back to the forum to check on things and  I would appreciate it very much if  Airbnb could find a better way of channeling those conversations. Maybe a whole new discussion group like "i just want to bitch"?

Hi @Annette33 Totally agree. I've noticed a big decrease in posts from some of the most helpful, experienced host contributors, of which you are one (and where are the rest of you??). I'm thinking they all feel the same way you do about the change. I've started to only look at the "unanswered" section - where most of the posts are unanswerable! - and the "recent" section, where the answerable ones now reside and are usually answered pretty well. It's certainly not as easy to navigate as before.  Karen

Hey, @Annette33 and @Karen-and-Brian0, we talked about tabs in the forum here: https://community.airbnb.com/t5/forums/v3_1/forumtopicpage/board-id/announcements/page/1/thread-id/6...

Looks like we all agree for the most part. It may even have hit Host Voice, since it has been some time, but I remember that thread because we were asked for input.

And it does appear that Top has completely outlived any usefulness at this point, so this is a great time to bring it up again. Glad you have!

There you are @Lawrene0! I seem to never see your posts anymore. So glad you're still here!

I did go off grid for a some visiting and hiking, @Karen-and-Brian0, but I'm otherwise always foisting my two cents on forum posters. No fear 🙂

thanx, @Lawrene0 , I hadn't been aware of this thread, now I am 🙂
