Price changes after proceeding to booking

Price before 'Book now'Price after 'Book now'Hello!

I'm just currious to find out this:

I have received a special offer from a host for apartment booking for 530 euros. But when I proceed to booking (after clicking on 'Book now'), the price is different - it has become more expensive. If it was 42 eur per night, now it is 43 eur per night and the total amount now is 544 eur. I wonder, what is going on here?

@Janis16

If it is in another country there is a rounding up going on when the currency is converted - secondly there is an AirBnB booking fee added to your booking whiich will increase the cost.

Have a tenent for 6 months and the payout keeps changing. I understand there may be currency changes but it went from 2600 to 2700 to 2200 in round numbers over the last few payments. What is the reason for the large change

@Kerry74, Is your payout based on the number of days in the month? or a flat fee for the whole month?

good poin and yes but the amount is too much to account for that from$ 2710 to $2222. Could it be the Air BNB fee? I thouhgt that would have been taken out initially

Thanks so much

Thankjs.

Same here...

After using airbnb heavily, today was the first time that the total amount after clicking the button is higher than before. I've asked the host to wait until I figure out what's going on. All the price categories look messed up, including monthly discount not appearing after clicking (although the base price is lower ... anyway, it's a mess).

Looking into the problem I think it might have to do with the hidden fees mentioned here:

I just learned about it and I am appaled and I don't see me being a devoted airbnb fan for much longer.

Still, I'm not sure it's because of this, because the inconsistency appears also in both USD and euros, but only amounts to a few of them; but in the two currencies directly involved it amount to a few dozen equivalent of euros.

Any new ideas?

It looks like the reason is indeed the hidden 3% fee. It seems that both in your case and in mine (previous message), the discrepancy is very close to 3%.

Why, in my case, this sum is already included before I click the button for some currencies, but not for others, I don't know. But it's always there in the end.
