Pricing

Pricing

Hi. I am new to airbnb so sorry if I say something stupid. I tried to book a room that says $80 dollars a night, and when i choosed the dates, the priced tripled! I went from, lets say, August 1st to the 4th. Instead of $80 dollars a night, it was something like $300 a night! Am I wrong and that $300 is for the total? Or It is normal to increase that much.

Hi Brian

When you key in dates it will give you the total cost, remember the $80 would not include Airbnb commission or cleaning?

Hope this helps

When you enter specific dates for a property it will show you the Total (and also the nightly price) before you confirm the booking.

Its hard to answer your question as we don;t know if what you saw was correct or not.

You will see

£x X  x nights =

Service Fee =

Total =

I think what you see before you enter dates is the base price for that property.

When you enter your check in and out dates you will see:

nightly price for that period (  in the middle of the season it will usually be higher) + additional cost for additional guests

x as many nights you want to book

+ cleaning fee (optional)

+ Airbnb service fee

= total amount you should pay

So, the best option is to enter your dates and the number of people in your group and then start searching
