Problems with prices quoted

Is anybody else out there having issues with the prices quoted to guests not being those advertised on your calendar?  I’ve had 2 weeks of guests requesting bookings for a whole month being quoted for the total price of what appears to be 1 day...!?  Of course I’ve been inundated with requests & having to disappoint...now blocked off as unavailable whilst the gremlin is being I suppose sorted. As yet no plausible or sensible explanations offered, only platitudes. Hoping others are experiencing similar problems so I can get some understanding of what is going on. In desperation...!

There are several reasons possible for this:

- The monthly (or early bird or last minute) discount is extreme

- There is a (low) custom price set for specific months

- There is a ruleset applied for certain months or periods with extreme discount or custom pricing.

- A month stay is a "long term stay" and is charged/payed in installments. Be sure to see the correct total breakdown (and not only the final payment, which can be one or two days)

- And finally: there is a glltch in the software !

I can not simulate such bookng, as there is not a 28 days or longer period available on your listing.

I suggest to temporary set maximum lenght of stay to 27 nights until problem is solved.

Hi Emiel, thanks for your suggestions. First bit of concrete, sensible advice so far!  It must be a gremlin as none of the conditions apply ie: discounts or long stay conditions have been set. The final price has been so ridiculous guests have been sending messages asking for clarification!  Not my imagination I am afraid.  Has anybody else been having similar problems?

I did not see recently posting in this community of fellow hosts having this same problem (at least not with finding the reason, like somebody who had set a 95% monthly discount !). Are you sure no custom price is set ?

Goto section where monthly and weekly discounts are set ("Length-of-stay discounts"), click Edit button, at end of this section is a line saying "you can set custom price for specific week or month", click on "month" and see if anything has been set there !
