Proof of Permission from Landlord for Airbnb

Hey guys!

Does Airbnb ask for proof of permission from landlord to sublet on Airbnb, or it's simply assumed that you are able to legally rent when you submit an application to start renting your space?

@Mel5491 there is almost no checking of hosts by Airbnb and they will certainly not ask for proof of permission from a landlord to sublet.

I am not sure what your plans are but if you sublet in violation of a lease then you would be personally liable for damage up to the cost of a full house rebuild - Really not worth it.

If you're looking to sublet you need permission from your landlord. If you let without permission they can evict you and sue you for any income you have generated from STR.
