Properties listed on totally wrong locations

I just started with airbnb, with 2 homes listed in Las Terrenas (Dominican Republic). An area which i know very well. Living here for 15 years now.

Was just cheking the villas around my properties and came to the conclusion that 7 out of 10 properties TOTALLY are on the WRONG location. I am not talking about a couple of meters but really hundrds and hundreds of meters or a mile or so

How in the hell is this possible !!! Even PLUS properties are totally wrong placed.

Is airbnb not checking this ???

@Tony1008 if you call airbnb they will put each pin in the map where you tell them.

The listings won't show exact location until after a reservation is confirmed. It should be within the circle airbnb shows on the map. Could that be why you don't see the exact location?

as @Sandra856  said, the location is approximately shown on the map except if you choose to be shown on the exact location. Many hosts don't want it, but a mile away seems a bit too much. Ourson was shown around 50-100 m away but maybe it depends on how many listings are in the area or how accurate Google map is at your location

The google map is very accurate here in our region. Up till 5 or 6 meters. I know that it should be in the circle. In fact, in the center from the cirkel.

I am talking about properties just TOTALLY at the wrong location. Really totally wrong, so not even close.

hm... maybe those hosts didn't set the house number, just the street. In this case, google map will put a pin in the middle of the street. Could this be the reason?
