Guests ruined the lock on my front door in spite of directions we gave them not to gorilla arm the front door handle from the inside. They also allowed their children to use one of our couches as a tetter totter. This resulted in breaking one of the legs on the couch. We do not know if this couch can be repaired. The lock costs about $250.00 to replace and we have no repair costs on the couch yet. It would cost about $600.00 to $900.00 to replace this couch as a worse case estimate. I have never had renters this destructive to our property. How should we proceed?

Hi @Richard239 sorry to hear about what happened. I see that you have a $300 security deposit on your listing. You can try to claim the damage through the resolution center. I highly recommend to do this ASAP and provide as many photos as possible for Airbnb to see + the estimate for the repair. If the guest does not respond within 72 hours, you have the option to get Airbnb involved to solve the issue. Good luck!
