Hi, I am new to Hosting and have a query regarding the Host Guarantee AirBNB provides.

In the policiy it says that it covers accomodation as listed on site - just checking this is accomodation only? We have a boat listed as part of the accomodation - Can you confirm if this is part of the host guarantee? Guests cannot use the boat, it is parked on the property. EG if the guests cause a fire and the boat also gets burnt down, would this be included in the Host Guarantee?

Can you recommend insurance providors in Australia to cover property listed on AirBnB?

You really need your own insurance, ask for ''short term rental'' or ''holiday rental'' insurance. Mine was not too expensive but I cannot remember who it is with. Had to change insurance companies when I begun as my normal one would not do it. Shop around. If I find last year's bill I will let you know who I am with (Aust).

I think you assume that the Guarantee is something much more than it is and that particular combination strikes me as being at the top end of unlikely.

Think of it as something if all else fails that might help.
