I had a traumatic experience with airbnb last night, A male guest (with 2 reviews) booked for one person. He showed up with 2 women. I asked them to leave immediately and I cancelled all of my guest reservations. Now airbnb wants to charge me cancellation fees. Airbnb is unsafe and the company is a front for prostitution.
Prostitution is rampant. The guests are not who they say they are.
If a guest shows up with persons unauthorized in the booking, you must contact airbnb and have them cancel the booking for you penalty free. The computer software cannot see who are present at your door.
A possible solution to the problem could be to block same day reservations.
Airbnb hosting is unsafe, the guest booked weeks ago for himself only, he was non-communicative after I sent him several messages, and he shows up to my apartment with 2 women.
I cancelled all of my upcoming bookings and I don't want to be charged cancellation fees. I will challenge and dispute all charges.
