Good evening all,
My husband and I have just joined airbnb and had our first guests over the weekend. They gave us 5 stars which was really great, but we cant work out how to add that to our listing. It simply says we have one review, not that it was 5 stars. Can anyone very kindly help?
Thanks very much
Kate
You are both invited to write a review. You have up to 14 days to do so. If both parties write a reivew (say after two days) then the reviews are published immediately. If only one party writes a review then it will be 14 days before it is published. Your stars will only appear after you have 3 reviews published from guests.
Hi @Kate169
As @Gerry-And-Rashid0 says you'll need 3 reviews before they appear on your listing.
Do you know you can find your details at https://www.airbnb.com/stats
Btw you won't have to add anything, it will appear automatically after the next 2.
Good evening community,
As i couldn't find in the descriptions yet , can anybody share with me, how the timing of the publishing process of the reviews is working?
example - after the check out of my guest i am asked by the system as host to review the guest within 14 days. The same is on my guest side to review the host i assume. Are the reviews published immediately after sending ? Or the ones are released at the same time (when the other side is releasing) ? What if one side is writing the review only?
My concerns are because of a bad experience with my latest guests (messy/dirty). Would like to review them (thumbnail down) but i have received an info (maybe fake), if i write a less positive review this might influence also the reviews i will receive from the guest...
To avoid any misinterpretation I would like to get some clarity in this process and will appreciate your kind feedbacks,
Rgds,
Gabi,sr.
The review process is double blind. You and your guest each have 14 days to write a review. Neither the guest nor you can see the other's review until one of two things happen:
1. Both of you have written a review. As soon as the second person writes their review both reviews are published immediately.
2. If one of the people do not write a review at all, the review that was written will be published after 14 days.
Once a review is written it is permanent unless Airbnb decides to remove it due to libel or slander or something like that. Usually they will not remove a review.
You and your guest can respond to a review after it is published. Go to your profile by clicking on your picture in your admin panel (upper right), then click "Reviews" in the menu on the left side of your screen. You will see the review and a link under that - "Respond."
When writing a review and responding as a host, you should always keep the review professional. Often the less that is written is better, however, if the guests are not good, then it is also your duty to let other hosts know, but make sure you do it in a way that will not hurt your own listing. Same with responding. Don't get argumentative. Just be factual and professional.
Good luck!
