The guest has to pay to Airbnb at time of booking (within max. 24 hours) .
@Natalia447 Policies are in place for a reason. I would not negotiate in this manner. I have made exceptions to payment activity after a guest has checked-in because of legitimate reasons (after we had built a trusted relationship). It's great to offer flexibility when you can, but I think you should steer clear of this type of request.
