Quiet November?

Has anyone been experiencing a very quiet November? After a very busy October, we've had a drastic decline in inquiries and reservations as soon as November came. Is this just normal low season, is this happening to most people? I keep getting pesty emails from Airbnb saying most peole in my neighbourhood are being booked, furthering my frustration, so what am I doing wrong all of a sudden? This is my first year on Airbnb, so I don't have previous years to compare it to, so maybe some more seasoned or experienced hosts can fill me in about this time of the year ...Would like to hear some opinions 🙂

Did you adjust your pricing to comparable Airbnb rentals close to you. Im jam packed in November with no explanation. Im Charging a reasonable rate for time of year.

@Trinity-And-Cristina0 You would know your area better than anyone on this host forum.  You have a lovely listing and obviously guest like it, given your reviews.  You must understand the seasons of your location.  I live in a desert in Southern California, USA.  Summer is totally dead here and I do not expect any bookings.  What about your location.  If you want to be busy in a low season time, look at your competitors and see if you need to adjust your pricing.  Good Luck!

For me, things usually slow a tiny bit in November, pick up again December. Every area is different and I suggest lowering the prices for low seasons to even them out a bit. Or use the time to improve/maintenance as it will no doubt get busy again and there will be no time.

I am very slow as well. We live in a pretty "sesonal touristy" area. I figured it would drop off. I also have blocked off days for the hoildays. So, i am not that surprised. And not that disappointed. I have a lot to do with the holidays.

I had to fix a small hole in the wall from a roof leak in one of my rooms. SO I am taking time to get things done and prep for next busy season. Good luck.

We average 2-3 reservations a month (this is only bc we live in an SEC college town) otherwise no one would visit. But after football season is over we for sure have a drastic drop in guests - and extra cash!
