Rating and Location

Good Morning,

New to hosting in Sarasota, FL and it's been a learning experience.  One issue that has come up twice so far is guests leaving a 4 star review for location.  We are a little confused as to what they or Airbnb means by this review metric.  It seems to us on the surface that the booking guest knows where we are located when they book.  Also, we have had guests say in their written reviews how close we are to downtown and the beach.  We could understand if we are on a busy road, etc but no explanation is give for knocking off a point in their reviews.  Any hope that this star/number rating system goes away in the near future ?

Your place looks lovely.

Why don't you message the guests @Mo-and-Don0 and say as new hosts you are trying to offer a five star experience, and how could you better describe your location so that it would give a five rather than a four star ratings?

I get marked own often because I am in an inner city location. Frustrating as I can't move my house and clearly say this on my listing.

Thanks Helen,

I seen this issue with some other Airbnb listing near us as well. Maybe in season traffic ?
