Reference from airbnb members, NOT just Facebook users

Hello,

This is a complaint that airbnb removed the ability to send a Reference request via email, and a request that they put it back.

airbnb users should be able to request a Reference from other airbnb users. Those other airbnb users should not be required to have a Facebook account.

People do not use Facebook for many reasons (work related, general privacy, or simply don't want Facebook).

It is unfair to us as hosts and guests that we can not request or write a Reference for someone who has an airbnb account and profile (and many times reviews) but simply doesn't have Facebook.

airbnb wants us to recommend people to airbnb, yet doesn't allow for a Reference to be given to the new person unless both have Facebook.

If you agree that References from other airbnb memebers who aren't Facebook users should be allowed, please Thumbs Up so that airbnb will rethink it's illogical and unfair policy.
