Dear all,
I cannot find any contact of airbnb to directly ask them a question. So in June 1st I reserved a place in Ljubljana, Slovenia and paid USD 760 with a mastercard. Somewhere in early July for some reason my card was blocked by my bank (they found a theft attempt) and my bank issued me a new mastercard. Now the problem is yesterday, July 27th, my host where I reserve the place suddenly cancel my reservation for a private reason, he cannot host me. So airbnb issued a full refund to me. The problem is, now I see that the refund is issued to my blocked/inactive credit card. It's 11pm now so I couldn't call my bank, but does anyone know if I could contact someone in airbnb regarding this problem? I don't want to lose this USD 760.. Thanks!
Hey, the refund was issued indeed to my expired/invalid card, but it turned out that it was not an issue because the bank has it in the system that my new card is linked to my invalid card, so it was transferred to my new linked card. And it was done automatically without me having to solve it to the bank. I just called the center and they said it's no problem. (My bank is Uni Credit -Italian).
I'm having this exact same problem, there should be a card changing option on this app
So turns out my bank doesn't have a way to link old credit card to new credit card. How do I solve this issue?
