Refund

We had a lady book with us for around 90 days.  She checked in on 9/29/17 and paid for 30 days.  She moved out unexpectantly yesterday meaning that she only stayed 20 days.  So now AirBNB is refunding her all but $100 +/- of the amount she paid.  How can that be?
