Removing

Hey guys! 

My friend invited me to join them on a 1-week stay hotel. 

We have both already paid for the trip... 

However, I wish to not go anymore.. can my friend remove me from the guest list and invite another person to replace me? (NOTE: we are not cancelling- I just don't want to go anymore and if my friend could just replace me...)

1) if I am removed and another person was invited: will I get the full refund (full half i originally paid)? and will the new (replacing) guest pay the other half that I have been refunded? 

2) if more guests are invited: e.g. if 2 people already paid $1000 for the trip, and decide to bring another 2 (weeks before the trip day) will the new bill be $250 each? and thus the original 2 get refunded $250?

If you’re the person who made the booking, it will have to be cancelled by you, as the booking would essentially become a third party booking and this not allowed by Airbnb.

If your not the person that made the booking the simplest thing to do is get your substitute to pay you directly.

If your host is expecting you to arrive, just let them know the new person name and any ID your host requires by email or text message using the Airbnb system

If you're bringing additional guests, notify your host to amend the booking accordingly
