Replying to a text notification

Hi this might sound a bit of a dim question.  I get text alert and the airbnb alert for any eqnuiry or booking.   The airbnb text usually shows as a number  ie: 4 195 and gives you part of the message.   Can you reply back to that or do you have to reply via the airbnb app from your messages.  I suspect the latter but sometimes without thinking i just reply to the sms message !

Your message will go nowhere unless you are logged on the computer or in the app! I just had a guest ring, stressed because I hadn't replied to a message. She had sent it by return text to an Air message and it would have gone to the same place you are texting to, ie nowhere...

This would be a useful topic to be covered in the help pages.  I think I remember reading that if you receive a SMS text about a booking then you can accept it by replying with "ACCEPT".  However, I'm not struggling to find the original info!  Even a rudimentary ability to communicate by SMS would be a big help to everyone, as well as helping my response rate!
