Request money

I requested money from the guest.

I am a new host and I did not request for any security deposit.

The guest declined my request.

Airbnb requested for additional documentation from me.

I was waiting for documentation such as quotes and receipts from local traders but Airbnb closed my request within 72 hours (there was not enough time....). Is this fair?

May I request money again? May I submit a new claim (the first request was incorrect anyway, I requested for less money because I did not know that I could only submit 1 request at a time)?

Should I submit a complaint on Airbnb to the Department of Fair Trading?

You're not telling us what happened but I am assuming you had damage.

You cannot request money from the guest for damages.

If you didn't request a security deposit, I don't think you have much recourse.

It is my understanding that you have 24 hours to get documentation to ABB but I could be wrong about that.

Reporting them to the DTF isn't going to get you anywhere, I don't think, as you accepted the Terms of Service when you signed up.

I don't know what your total damages came to, but I'd write it off as tuition.  I'm sure you've learned a lot.
