Request service fee refund- HMACJPY3Y8

Hi--

 

I am writing to request a refund of the service fee for the aforementioned reservation.  This reservation was confirmed but the host then asked for the dates to be changed.  I declined these new dates, which I believed had canceled  the reservation, as we were not in agreement of the dates.  I then made a new reservation.  Upon making the new reservation, I was alerted that I had two reservations for the same dates.  At that time, I then canceled the original reservation.  I would like to request a refund as the date change by the host was the impetus for the reservation change.  Furthermore, I  am uncomfortable with the idea of my dates being a potential problem for my original host's schedule and prefer to book with the new host who has accepted the dates that I proposed without problem.  Please contact me if you require additional detail or clarification.  Thank you for your time.

@Lindsay201  This is a forum for Hosts and Guests to ask questions, exchange info and offer support. No one here has any access to your account and can't do anything about your issue. You need to directly contact Airbnb- contact info can be found in a large pinned post on the first page of this Help forum.

FYI declining a reservation change doesn't mean you've cancelled the original booking- it means you don't agree to the change and want to hold the host to the original booking. You actually have to cancel it, which you cn do penalty-free within 48 hours of booking.
