Confirmation of reservation

Are the bookings confirmed automaticaly by AIRBNB services? Or must the host confirm the booking?

If the host got "instant book" turned on a guest can book without the host need to confirm. If the host doesn't have "instant book" turned on the guest must send a request and the host must accept the request.

Hi Sandra. Thanks for your explanation. I am confused because in the previous reservations I confirmed myself all the requests, and yesterday the confirmation was sent to te guest automaticaly by AIRBNB. But I will confirm if the "instant book" is turned on. Thank you very much!
