Reservation confirmed??

Fairly new to Airbnb.  I received a email with a "Reservation Confirmed" notice for a rental next week.   Normally i get the chance to Decline or Accept and in this case i did not.    Is this normal?   Why no chance to decline?

You've got Instant Booking on, @William278. Hence they made a reservation without any approval. Check your settings in the panel.

I'm new here. I got email said confirmed booking from a guy in U.K stay at my 3 bedrooms by himself. I'm not sure did he pay to airbnb already? Could he canceled it in last minute? Or closer to the booking date which are 29 Dec to 2 Jan. Because I forgot to put that guest should pay deposit.

can I ask guest now to pay deposit? Coz 29 Dec to 2 Jan is the key to earn income for whole season. On other hand I concern that it would be a scam. Plz advise
