Reservation request - guest reviews not visible

Hi,

We've bee AirBnB hosts for a few years and when we get a reservation request we always check their reviews from other hosts first.

With the latest request we had there are no visible reviews for the guest despite him being a memmber of AirBnb since 2015.

I notice though that there is now a link under "About this guest" which says "Learn how you can get access to guest scores" (I'm translating from Dutch here so it may say something a little different!)

Apparenlty the score would be visible if we turn on "Direct reservartions" is this a new rule from AirBnB that you can only see the reviews of reservation candidates if that is switched on?

Hello @Sabrina270. It's not that new rule that only Instant Book hosts can see the reviews. Maybe it was last year that it was introduced. It's a way of forcing hosts to use IB.

@Sabrina270, everyone can see the reviews of the guest; you do not have to have Instant Book on to see the written reviews.

If you have Instant Book on, though, you gain an extra capability: you get to see the Star Ratings of the guests.

If this guest isn't showing any reviews, then they probably don't have any reviews written about them.
