Reservation request sent to me for booked dates

Hello,

I am new to the platform as a host. I am wondering how a guest was able to send me a reservation request for dates that are already blocked on my calendar. Does anyone know why this would happen or how it's possible? I went in the system as a traveler and tried to do this and was not able to send a request for the blocked dates on my calendar. I am just curious how this happened. It looks bad on my end, declining a request and I don't want to be demoted for this by Airbnb. Any info is appreciated.

My guess is nobody knows the reason just a bug in the system,

I noticed a few days ago they unblocked a day that I did have blocked because I dont want to do a same day turn over, Nothing I can do now.

All you can do is message the guest back and explain what has happened give them time to find an alternative listing.

You wont get demoted by Airbnb they are not that bad and also message Airbnb whats has happened.

For future reference, always keep checking you listing certain things do happen just when you least expect them to.
