1. i dont see my new guest reservation on my list why and  what can i do? i blocked the calendar for those dates. does he have to confirm after i  approve? or what? im confused.

@Roxann0 Your message is a bit unclear.

For one, if you receive a "request to book" and then accept it, the guest is booked and your calendar will automatically block the booked dates. If, on the other hand, you receive a mere "inquiry" rather than a direct request to book, then your calendar won't be blocked at first. In that case, you'll be asked whether you want to pre-approve the specific guest for the specific dates or not. If you don't approve the pre-approval, the requestor is out of the picture and the dates remain available. If you DO pre-approve the request, then it's up to the guest to accept (or not) the booking. In the meantime, your calendar won't be blocked, so other potential guests can request bookings or make pre-appoval inquiries for the same dates.
