STR- Hotel Occuancy Tax Registration

TEXAS - I'm registering for STR Hotel Occupancy Tax and for STR-TYPE 1-A says "Not more than one partial unit at the property is simultaneously rented for any period less than 30 consecutive days" . What if we rent out two rooms? We have 4 bedrooms and rent out 2, but that doesn't mean we rent out entire house either. Are we not supposed to rent two rooms according to the city ordinance?

@Chiaki8 do you have proof of having paid the 9% city tax for the last 3 years that you've had a listing?

They have the ability to fine you $2,000/day that you advertise an unlicensed property.

Are they running an amnesty program or why are you pursuing a license now?

Will the trailer pass a health and safety inspection or have a Certificate of Occupancy?

It seems like you might need to choose btwn keeping either the trailer or the room but can't have both.

I'm not sure, but I'd be super concerned about what the city will do with a listing that you've been running for years without proper licensing.

You know that ABB pays the State HOT themselves?

I'm outside the city limits, so I'm not sure exactly what you're up against but it doesn't look hopeful. I'd love to hear if you find out that it's better than it seems.
