Hello everyone!
I have two mirrored flats at the same address and wanted to integrate smart security devices.
I was thinking about smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and first aid kits.
The carbon monoxide detectors I'm waiting for from Airbnb, let's see.
I wanted to ask you which ones you bought, which ones you use, how many to get, where you placed them and how to maintain them.
Thank you for your answers
Luigi - Host
I would put them in the same sort of places that you would in your own home @Luigi732
Where you would get them from would depend on which country you are in. Where do buy these sort of things for your own home?
Thank you for your answer @Helen3
I usually buy on Amazon or specific online store, do you know where put the carbon dioxide detector?
It should have advice on the carbon dioxide detector. I put mine near my log fire. @Luigi732
@Luigi732 A smoke detector right outside of each bedroom, in the kitchen, and one on every level of your home. Fire extinguisher in kitchen and one on every level. I’m not sure where a carbon dioxide detector would go. I have my first aid kit in the bathroom.
Ohh thank you for your answer, very helpful @Gwen386
What do you mean for every level? Do you mean every floor of the house?
For smoke relevators, can you suggest me any products you have been comfortable with or that you yourself use?
@Luigi732 Yes, home has 3 floors and there is one on each floor. Any brand will work. The most important thing is having them installed! Also test the batteries annually. Let it coincide with a day you won’t forget—like your birthday or a holiday.
@Luigi732 you should really have a linked smoke detector on each floor and a heat detector (not smoke) in the kitchen. You can get radio linked smoke detectors if you don't have wiring in place. Without linking the detectors you could have a fire on the ground floor cut off escape routes before guests here the alarm.
Carbon Monoxide detectors go in the same place as smoke detectors and you can buy combing CO and smoke detectors
