I had a guest cancel same day (within 4 hours of check in time). Airbnb gave a full refund and basically told me there’s nothing I can do about it. They said the guests claimed “extenuating circumstances”....medical. Their customer service is crap. They won’t transfer to bosses and tell me bosses can’t make outbound calls. I’m done with airbnb...as a guest and a host! They wouldn’t have a business if it weren’t for hosts and we should have more protection than this against last minute cancellations. Moving on over to VRBO.
