Scam?

I found this listing on Craigslist, and contacted the host regarding the offer. He placed it through AirBnb, and I'm afraid (after emailing with him,) that this is a scam. (He has asked for iTunes cards to pay for the space.)

Please let me know if this is the case, or if this is a veritable host.

@Leah57 Book it and pay through ITunes and you will never see your money again for a place you will not have access to. If you want to rent an AirBnB use the AirBnB site and make contact and payments only through AirBnB.

I had this same scam run on me with exact words, in San Diego, CA USA. Luckily I caught in before it got too far. So evil, though.

SCAM LISTING IN MONTAUK>>YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

I have contacted Airbnb several times regarding a scam listing. I own this home and have provided proof of ownership. The host offering this is named michellegureshi339@gmail.com. They have tried to get people to pay outside of Airbnb through Zelle.

Airbnb has gone though there process and informed the host of their responsibility What a joke , they are scammers and wont care,yet Airbnb has not taken down the listing.  Here is there response.
