Security Deposit

Hello, 

I am about to book an apartment who claims a security deposit. 

Does anyone know if that amount will be blocked on my account from now until I leave the apartment or it will be blocked on the day of the check-in?

@Anita18  Airbnb does not charge or authorize a hold on your credit card for the Security Deposit.  However, when you make a reservation request there is a check box stating that you authorize payment in the event there is a claim for damage to the host's property.  In this event the damage claim is discussed with you.  Here's more information:
