Security deposit

Guest have paid for the rental, im not so sure have airbnb collected the deposit, therefore i've requested from guest again. 

Guest paid it and now i want to refund however, i couldnt do a full refund and there's 80bucks less. how?

Guest  do not pay the Security Deposit, it is a hold against their credit card.

Airbnb never charges the security deposit upfront. The security deposit is only charged if you make a claim after the guest has stayed.

If you charged a "security deposit" through Airbnb, I assume you made a change to the reservation and added what you thought was the secuirty deposit to the their reservation. Because it was added to their reservation, it was subject to Airbnb's fees and any relevant taxes, which is where the $80 may have gone.

Of course, this is all just assumptions since a security deposit is never charged up front through Airbnb.

So its impossible to get a refund?

I've tried to contact airbnb customer service but i coulndnt find any number to call. 

This is not friendly at all. At least they should have a live chat help or something... 

very dissapointed.
