Selfie in the verification list

Hello,

 

I am wondering if anyone else has experienced the same as I have lately. As a house rule I have Selfie and Government ID that must verified and listed under the verification list. I understand the change that happened in February doesnt allow us to view the selfie picture for requests and inquiries which I am ok with. I require the selfie to be verified in their verification list prior to accepting their booking. I have had a few requests which the clients indicated that they uploaded their image as a selfie but it did not list as a verified item in the verification list.

 

I have been in contact with an airbnb employee who seem to not understand that all I am looking to see is that the selfie is listed as a verified item on the client's profile and she eep indicating that it's not longer available as a verification item. When I asked what date that change took effect she responded with February 12th. I reviewed the update communciated to the hosts and the change states that the profile picture will not be viewable prior to accepting the booking.

@Yvonne191 I've never had the option to select selfie in the guest requirements when they book, maybe it was something that was never rolled out for Australia.

 

I've got Instant Book on & require ID verification, profile photo, recommendation from other hosts & trip information. I also have it stated in my house rules that guests must have a profile photo of themselves (and I don't accept third party bookings). That house rule has been very helpful when I get a profile photo of a cartoon character, I just send my house rules to the booker and they either update their profile photo or cancel their booking...

Thank you for your response. I don't do Instsant Book. I will borrorw your idea and include I don't accept 3rd party bookings. If the Booker doesn't comply and change their photo.what do you do?  Have you had to contact Customer Service to cancel Bookings for people who didn't follow your Rules and if so how did they respond?
