It's for any extra payments or fees or after the host's claim of damage - there are different scenarios.

Can the 'send/ request' option also be used by hosts to add any additional charges?

Such as extra guests last minute or additional cleaning for long term guests.

Not only for damages?

As such, can it be used, before, during or after a stay?
