Setting different prices for extra guests depending on the date or time of year

It is good that one can set prices for extra guests; the problem is that once you set that price, say $40 per extra guest, that price applies to all future open dates. For example, in my off season, I don't charge very much for extra guests. In February, the extra guest cost might be $30. Once that is set, it applies to all dates going forward. So if someone books in February for July and August (my peak season), they are only paying $30 extra instead of $50 or $60. If I set the higher price in February, people won't book because the charge for extra guests is too high. I have spoken to Airbnb customer service about this for over a year and have been told that they would forward it to the appropriate team for a future improvement. This really needs to be changed!
