Smart Pricing Query

Just started hosting and we're using Smart Pricing.  Bookings are good so far and throughout most of the up-coming Summer the system is pricing us at around £60/night.  From the end of September onwards, smart pricing increases hugely to around £90/night at a time when the 'good' season is ending and I don't understand the 'smart price' hike at a time when bookings will tail off.

Needless to say we have no bookings once the new smart price of £90/night is seen!  Any ideas why the increase at that time of year (October onwards)?   It doesn't seem very smart to me.

@Fiona-and-Graham0 Smart Pricing isn't smart at all. The best thing to do is set your prices manually accordingly to the request. Take into account the season, prices for similar properties, the amenities you offer and most importantly whatever price you feel is worth for your efforts.
