For me and my guests any and all reservation requests from my guests appear as "Not Possible" even without any impediment. I've been trying the Airbnb help center since yesterday but they don't answer me!!!

You can still send a special offer and attempt to explain to guest. One guest told me he could still open the special offer. But it’s very confusing to guests. Not an easy work around. It’s happening to lots of hosts. Still happening to me today too.
@Tabitha21 I've been getting it, too. A bunch more folks have reported this since earlier this morning, US time. I tried sending a "special offer". The guest received it, but is still not able to complete the request to book, although my calendar is open. Apparently, it has been reported to the tech team at Airbnb. We're waiting for some resolution.

Well, finally a glitch that might make them realize what incompetent tech staff they have- if no one can book right now, not only is it frustrating for hosts and guests, it means Airbnb has zero service fees coming in!
@Tabitha21 No- sadly I haven't been able to host since COVID, as I have a shared-home listing. But there is another thread here on the forum which makes it evident that many hosts are experiencing this issue.
@Sarah977 @Tabitha21 Someone booked mine 3 hours ago for 10-12 Sept. So the glitch is not universal!
