Starting a Meet Up Group in Mexico?

There are no groups in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico or anywhere in Mexico that I can see.  I also did not find advice on how to start a group.  Can someone here who knows how please fill me in?

Thanks,

Holly

Agreed there are no groups in Puerto Vallarta but it is perhaps because most hosts don't live in the area and rent their second homes remotely from the US or Canada.

Thank you for the input. We do live there and our friends who also host are year round as well. It would be great to communicate with others when they are in town and virtually when they are away. I'm interested in how to begin to create community if anyone else has done this.

I agree we need commuinites in Mexico. In San Miguel de Allende where I live there is nothing and I even went to the AirBnB open and spoke with the Mexico team and I've heard nothing back at all. San Miguel has been nameed one of the top destination is the world by Conde Nast for years in a row and noting. There are no experiances, no commuinities and I think we are all missing out. As hosts and for AirBnB it´self. Very dissappointing.

I´m not really sure what to do next to help those of us in Mexico start having local commuinities started. If anyone has any ideas I´ll write all the emails I can think of.

Hello Deana, I am also interested in being part of the Airbnb group in San Miguel de Allende, it would be great !!

Hello! I am writing from Oaxaca and have the same doubt: how can I start a community group for Oaxacan host? If someone have any advice, please, let me know

I am located in Puerto Vallarta and would be interested in a Mexico Airbnb Group.

Thanks

@HollyandDan0   A few years ago I received an email inviting me to a host meet-up in PV at the Riverside Cafe.

I was rather taken aback, as I didn't know the sender and wondered how they got my email address. I called Airbnb to see if they share email addresses with people who organize meet-ups and she assured me they do not, that info is private. (She was from the Trust and Safety team, not just a lowly CS rep)

I never responded to that email, I guess it could have been perfectly legit and there may indeed be a group, but I don't know how they got my email address, and that disturbed me.
