Stranded guests

Our host canceled 2 hours prior to our stay and we are stranded in a Guatemala village and in danger. AIRBNB says there is nothing they can do.  We came in on a bus that doesn't return until morning. It's 9:45pm. We are walking the streets with our luggage from building to building in the dark with my grandmother and two kids hoping someone can help us find a place to stay.  Someone please help!

Oh my gosh, did Airbnb really say they could not help you after the host canceled. That is totally unacceptable. As a host for Airbnb I am very sorry to hear you are in this position. I hope that you are able to find a hotel or some safe place to stay. As soon as possible you should call Airbnb back and demand some compensation. If able to post on their Facebook and/or Twitter as I have heard that gets faster results. Please let us know that your family is safe and that you have found new accommodations.

Come on Airbnb help out these guests.

Have you tried the local police station, they may have accomdation.

AirBnB are a booking service and they may not have any Hosts listing in the area with availability, hopefully you found a Hotel etc.

Usually they refund +10% for the inconvenience.
