Anyone aware of how Summit County regulates maximum occupancy based on size of septic tank? What are the characteristics of a room to be considered a ‘bedroom’ as opposed to a den or loft?
We have a 3,500 sq foot single family home on an acre of land that slept up to 14 (that we know of) without septic tank incidents for two decades yet now they want to limit us to 8 people! 5 stars reviews unanimously (almost, one gave us 4) yet the county demands we spend some 70K on an expanded septic tank to allow the people we already hosted. While most in the county seem to be very nice and courteous, the irrational demand still stands including threats by some that are not nice at all. From being their employers (we pay their salaries) we become their ‘subjects’...
Any ideas, info or suggestions?
