Superhost Evaluation

I was wondering what seems to be the problem with the superhost criteria stats again 🙂 It says that I will be eligible for Superhost on the next evaluation because I have only hosted 6 stays in the past year bit I have hosted 12 and I counted 5 times.. will this be fixed in time? And someone suggested that I should call Airbnb. I know that but this has happened the third time and since we don't have representatives here it is very very expensive for me to call every time and wait so much time on the phone.

@Réal1

Even with 1 cancellation you shouldn't have lost SH. That's because Airbnb have changed the rules to be applied for this current quarterly assessment July 1.

CC Moderator Lizzie posted the blog a few days ago in the following thread:

'we updated some criteria to make the program more fair and inclusive. Read the blog post here.'

Cancellation policy

As part of our effort to make sure Airbnb programmes are built to meet the needs of all hosts, we’re also updating our cancellation requirement. Previously, we required that Superhosts have zero cancellations, but for hosts with an extremely high volume of bookings across multiple listings, that standard is impractical. To make the programme more fair for high-volume hosts, we’re now allowing one cancellation per 100 tripsbooked over the past year, which means a cancellation rate of less than 1% across all of your listings. It’s important to note that we still take cancellation as seriously as ever. Over the past five years, the Superhost community has worked hard to earn the trust of their guests and we will continue to reward that trust by recognising the most reliable hosts with Superhost status.

Both the changes to our cancellation and review requirements will take effect on the 1 July quarterly Superhost assessment. We’ll also be updating hosting dashboards at this time to reflect this new criteria.

Consequently, you can contact Airbnb to ask them to uphold their change of policy and restore your SH.

Dommage que le robot d'Airbnb est pris le dessus sur le plus important quand il classe les Québécois francophones dans ce coin sans importance pour lui ! Bravo Robot !

@Réal1

Why do you suddenly switch into French?

Community Centre has a French department.

And what you write seems more poetry by google translation.

At least I can't make head or tail of what you're trying to say.

I have just telephoned asking the reason why they cancelled my superhost status. The only real answer I had is that it depends on the algorithm. I had a three stars evaluation and even if the description of the guests was absolutely positive nothing can be done. Of course, algorithms have some more difficulties in reading!

it seems you are still a super host, your badge is still visible 🙂

you don't have to call Airbnb, you can contact them via Twitter, Facebook or email : https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/Help/Contact-Airbnb-A-Community-Help-Guide-UPDATED/m-p/413245

@Branka-and-Silvia0 yes I still see it too but on the progress tab it says that I will be elegible again in October if I meet the criteria which I meet now too. I have contacted them but no response so far 🙂

@Lizzie Is there some new info about this? 🙂

My brother and I have another flat in Airbnb and for that flat (Un Nido nel cuore di Bologna) we still are superhost.

Hey @Ana1136,

Sorry for not getting back to you about this,  once I have an update I will get back to you.

I wonder as the Superhost evaluation period has now come to an end, is this message still showing?

Thanks,

Lizzie

@Lizzie yes it does but apparently I haven't lost my status. The response I got from Airbnb was to install my app again which I should do as I haven't still. But I logged in on my lap top and the stats are fine, maybe it's just the app. Also all the other categories are just fine on lap top but messed up in the app.

Thanks so much @Ana1136 for the update, so you are seeing it only on the app?

I'm still asking our Product Team about what you are experiencing, but if you could try updating your app and letting me know that would be wonderful. It seem quite an isolated case, so hopefully this will fix it, but let me know either way.

Huge congrats on retaining you Superhost badge too, very well deserved. 🙂

 Thanks @Lizzie 🙂 I just reinstalled it, it is fine now, I guess it was the app 🙂
