Hi! I have an existing Airbnb calendar and google calendar. I followed your steps on how to export so they are sync with each other.
However, for newly book google calendar is not auto updating so I am manually doing the procedure again.
Please help, thanks
Hello @Chen20. I can only tell you that I haven't seen Airbnb syncing with external calendars working properly for more than a few hours... And you can never rely on when something gets broken or tinkered here at Airbnb.
I deleted my external gmail calendar on the using gmail website. Then I created a new calendar with the same name. Then I went through the process from the beginning to import this new calendar into Airbnb.
Then go to Calendar-----availability settings-------calendar sync--------and click the refresh button (next to the trash can on the right). Even if I don't click the refresh button, it is updating automatically in only a few seconds. My old calendar was still listed on the right, so I just click the trash can for that.
This was not a problem for me because I only had 1 reservation, but if you have multiple reservations you have to re-enter everything.
On my ical I have two calendars: one is called "Unavailable", this is what I sync with Airbnb. The other is called "Waterfront Dream" (the name of my property.). This where I put guests' names, and only I can see it. Hope this helps.
Thanks for your response. So do you mean, it is really not possible to sync the 2 calendars? I mean can do, but manually not auto updating. Thanks again!
Mine has always synced OK, seems to happen once a day.
I would like to ask if there was anything that you did differently. Like did you first export your Airbnb cal then import it to google. I did and all my bookings are now in my google cal but when I get a new booking it does not sync on my Google cal. Customer serice does not ahve any way to tell me what to do.
