THIS VERIFICATION PROCESS !

I've not used airbnb until yesterday although I did open an account some time back.

Trying to book a very important night away and have reserved a property but I am still waiting for this 'verify ID' to be approved. I've done everything asked of me and lost the property once this morning. Have now re-requested and still waiting for ID to be approved .. ie passport and video.

Because it's so important it is now causing me to stress and makes the whole process of using this site very offputting for future use in my opinion.  

I DO NOT WANT TO LOSE THIS PROPERTY AGAIN !!

Anyone know how to speed this process up ?

I'm in exactly the same position Darran and look forward to someone explaining what to do next. I've been trying to get verified for 3 days and keep losing the reservation request as it shows I'm still not verified even though I've done 2 videos as requested.

It's so frustrating and off putting!

Took a while though and when you just want peace of mind that your trip is all confirmed and a snug fit these kind of things do grate.

I'm sure it was easier in olden days when you just rang from your rotary dial telephone and everything was done within 5 minutes !

I'm a happy bunny......I've been verified this morning....yay!

I spoke to somebody on the helpline and it can take around two full business days for the uploaded video to be checked. I slowed down the process by making a second one as the website requested so to anybody in the same position, hold tight for two days after it's been uploaded.
