Taking a booking

I had a  booking some time ago, there was a young girl's photograph, and she called herself a certain name  and that 3 were arriving but when guests came, this person was not in the group, it was family moving permanently to Ireland.  It was a very difficlt time for as as we had to helpt with a large amount of luggage 15 bag, heaving and cumbersome.  They paid 37E for the taxi from airport to our apartmentt but on arrival were hysterical as they had lost their money at the airport, and asked us to take them back.  We took them back immediately and checked out where they lost  bknapsac  with the cas, it was not there, then we went to lost property and to our delight it was in the lost property and proud we were of the honest caring person or staff who put it there.  They then told us they left a bag on the aeroplane but had no docket to trace.  I was then told the wanted how to get organised in Ireland they wanted to know how to get schools, a job and a flat, but there was no hope of getting an apartment, as so few, people are homeless, and when one comes for viewing 14 people could turn up and agent will take the person who will prove he/she can pay rent, so this family had no hope of been given a home.  I was stresse for the week. as mother and little girl about 9 had no English the son 14 maybe was trying to understand the working and translating what I said.  It was difficult as he was only a child really.  The mother was clever as she began to find fault with apartment saying in her review no hot water, but the switch was off the son could not recall when we showed them.  The hot water was set for morning and evening and there was a boost button for middle of day or whenever, she wrote that saucepans were rusty, they are stainless steel, a little black on bottom from use on the cooker but it was not rust or dirt after all no one will purchase a new sauce pan just because the bottom has a burn sign - not dirt or rust as she called as as her words from her country would be different to our English.  Now I have a bad review as she was trying to get price down and asked me to rent her the flat permanently but I could not do that, nor cancel all my Airbnb guests.  When time up to leave she left her old food on saucepans on cooker, her unashed and left over food in the sink and we helped them again with their 15 heavy bags to our car, and because it would not all fit in, they walked and the son could only fit in the car to show us where to take them.  We unloaded all those bags and took them into their new guest house and not a thank you.  I thought she would be thankful as we are mid seventies, and took them to see schools, and gave her history of where she should go for help, i.e. Citizens information, the Social Welfare service, convents who might help and yet she was not happy.  Her little children were adorable.  I fel the more you do but then they were moving here and it was different and not expected at all.

Reading this, I was mortified. It's a reminder of the self centered world we live in. I feel for the young ones as they are being given horrible examples on decent, polite behavior.

Encourage you to continue being a gracious host-as you know, this is not the norm (at least not in my experience.).

As to the review, hopefully-you haven't left her review yet. If so, I would definitely make comments back. Copy/paste your statement you made here.
