Taking deposit

Hi, Im a new host.  I travel alot and have been asked by other Airb&b's  where I have been a guest for a half payment sometimes a month in advance. I have a guest now for 3 weeks. How and where on the site do I request this type of payment, please?

Thanks!

@Melissa682  I am kind confused by your post. AirBnB holds all the money they collect until the day after your guests check in then they pay you in full. As a new host they may hold your payment for 30 days. If you are talking about a deposit AirBnB doesn't actually collect one, but it's good to have one in the event of damage. If you are talking about the 50% down option Pay Less Up Front, AirBnB offers it to qualified bookings.

@Letti0 what does a qualified booking consist of? I am a new host also and I have a guest looking to do a 2-week stay and is asking how much of a deposit it is. I have a security deposit of $100...is that what she's talking about or is she referring to the 50% down Pay less up front feature which I didn't know was an option. Either way, how do you collect said deposit? Thanks in advance to whoever can help me with this.
