Time to clean

Somebody can you tell me how long to clean a two-room apartment with kitchen?

My staff takes at least 2 hours, without considering the time to wash and iron.

So total 3 hours.

I ask the guests 24 euros for cleaning to stay in line with the competitors but in reality I have a definitely higher cost.

But how long do you clean a two-room apartment?

@Federico31 it takes us 2 1/2 hours to turn around our listing including ironing. You can look at it in my profile but its a big bedroom, bathroom and breakfast room. Jobs to do

Dust/clean surfaces

De web/spider

Clear out fridge, de crumb toaster, empty kettle

Strip bed, remove towels and bathmat

Vacuum floors and sofa

Steam mop floors

Wipe out fridge

Clean all inside surfaces of shower, clean sink and loo.

Clean bathroom floor on hands and knees

Iron bedlinen and re make bed

Re stock with towels, bathmat, loo paper, kitchen roll.

Set table with breakfast things

Fill tea, coffee, sugar jars

Fill cereal jars

Put milk, juice and water in fridge

Lint roller cushions

I did this all myself yesterday in two and a half hours ( but I'm the owner so probably work a bit faster because I have skin in the game!) Mike helps if he is not working.

I notice with short stays (a day or two) the place actually gets cumulatively cleaner because we're on top of it and it doesn't take so long, plus our guests are great, usually.

It takes 6 hours if you want everything to shine! I am doing the job alone, nobody helps me. Ironing for 4 people - it is a big job! Everybody had 3 towels, two or more sheets, 2 pillow cases... When the flat is left very tidy and clean - then I use the time to clean some of the windows as they have to be absolutely clean - usually I clean all windows once often twice a week, one after the other - I have many windows... And then you have to check if something is missing, going to buy it, the bath and the kitchen sometimes get lots of time, esp if absorber has to be cleaned, the plates might not be left washed, some panes might be stained... Dust has to be cleaned from lamps, shades, pictures, all little things of beauty... So altogether it is 2.30-3 hours work in the flat and another 2.30-3 hours at home.

If you have doubts the best would be to try to prepare the apartment by yourself ( at least once) and you will get a feeling about the time needed 🙂

without doing laundry and ironing ( we use laundry service), I need :

- 1,5 hours for a small studio with 2 single beds, very small kitchen and small bathroom.

- 3 hours for 2 bedrooms + living room + kitchen + bathroom + WC

 It also depends:

- if we are expecting 2 guests or 6 guests,

- is it summer and we use a top sheet or is it winter and we have to put all the duvets inside the cover.

-of location :  big city = dust and smog, hard water =water stains etc...

Cleaning an apartment is not like cleaning your own home, it's MUCH more detailed
