Can I trust this listing? The host has got 3 or 4 places / listings with the same photos.

@Yasser24

hmmmm 😕 same property listed 3x, ones as a private room for 1 guest but with king size bed, and twice as the entire apartment, different dates are available, just 2 reviews... ?!  I wouldn't book it.

Salute @Yasser24

If it is possible for you, when a host have many listings for the same place, so may same photos, that is, just, because hosts could create  a listing for each room, so could be many listings, if they have more than one room

Thanks,

Miloud

@Yasser24

This is what makes me skeptical:

"WARNING!!
WARNING!!
PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITHOUT CONTACTING FIRST.
There is high demand and I want to give you the best experience including the availability"

I wouldn't book it based on that opening paragraph. This host clearly doesn't know how to use Airbnb or this is a scam.

@Emilia42

high demand, yeah, right, his calendar is totally empty 🙂

It's really confusing ... look at all his listings ... same photoes of 5 different places in London Greenwich. The reviews were 13 with only one as negative but the reviews were with no rating.

@Yasser24  As @Emilia42 pointed out, this host asks you to contact him first. Most likely he will ask you to send payment to him if he is a Scammer.

Or he has multiple similar units and don't know how to create multiple listings and link them together to avoid bookings' date overlapped.

Hi,

I don't know why he made two listings, but I don't see a problem, the calendar for both seem to be in sync, it is the same unit.

I have two listings for some of my apartments, Airbnb website is good, but it is not perfect. For me, I do it because I have two different cancelation policies in place, for certain dates I only allow reservations on the non-refundable one. Airbnb does not allow you to pick different cancelations for different periods.

That is why I do it, he could have a reason for it too.

At @Luana130

if the “entire place” listings are synced this is probably so he can override the 90 day rules we have to follow in London. It basically states that any “entire listing” cannot be let out for longer than a total of 90 days per calendar year for stays shorter than 90 consecutive days.

As entire listings bring in more money due to privacy I imagine that this is what he is doing but of course I have not seen the listings or settings so it is only speculation.

@Yasser24 follow your gut! When booking you should feel comfortable and if you are not sure start a dialog with the host and see how they communicate etc. Good luck to you!

@Yasser24 @Emilia42  Yes, I recall seeing this exact same wording on another listing someone posted that I think turned out to be a scam. Yasser, this is not how normal hosts do things- the calendar should show all the available dates and you should just be able to send a booking request with the dates you want. Either this host doesn't know how to list, or it's a scam.
