When clients message me, I am able to read and reply to those messages on my phone app, however I cannot access any of my messages from the desktop website.
When I enter the inbox, I can see the list of messages, but if I click on one it takes me to a page with my listings in a dropdown menu and the only clickable link being, 'View calendar to edit'.
I am taken to this blank page even when I try to access the message history from a previous client (from the calendar), also when I click the REPLY button found in the email sent to my official account.
I have made sure my browser (Safari) is up to date, as well as cleared my cashe and history.. but the problem still exists.
This issue only began a week ago; the inbox service was working fine prior to then.
If anyone has experienced similar issues, please let me know what you did to rectify the problem.
I have had the same problem for almost a month now. I have been a member since October 2015 and only now cannot I access my messages via Safari. When I called to talk to them, I was told to download Chrome, which I am not doing. It defeats the purpose of using a Mac. I can use my phone app to reply, but that gets a little annoying also. I hae read most have converted, but I am not that person. If it means no bookings, fine. Airbnb loses out on the money, also. The whole reason I did this was to meet travelers because I am building a business and unable to go anywhere.
Same thing with me -- how do we resolve this issue?? I cannot find any way to contact AirBnB to inquire about this.
Has anyone found a way to fix this??

Sorry to just be adding to the list but, I too, have had this problem for several weeks.
I can view and reply to emails on my ancient ipad but not on my Mac laptop.
The help pages don't seem to have the answer and I go round in the same circles as the rest of you 😞
Hopefully someone will be able to help us.

I have the same issues ... I need to reply to a previous guest on the desktop but cannot. My manager previously used the app but I am no longer taking guests and will be deactivating my listing once I can sort this out.
Does anyone have direct contact information for Airbnb?

On your Help page, near the bottom right is a "Contact us" button.
Or you can use this link: https://www.airbnb.com/help/contact_us
Once you are on the "Contact us" page, choose "Its something else"
This will give you the choice to either exchange messages with AirBnB or to speak to someone on the phone.
(Using the "Contact us" by phone gives you the option to have them call you, so you don't have to wait on hold.)
